Choose and buy iZotope RX: editions, upgrades and what you need

Choose the least expensive RX edition that supplies the tools and workflow your recordings need. Elements covers six essential DAW plug-ins; Standard adds the standalone Audio Editor and a broad repair set; Advanced adds specialist controls and post-production tools. Start with a recurring problem in your own audio, then compare editions on that job.

Match the edition to the repair

The RX 12 module and plug-in tables separate what runs inside the Audio Editor from what loads in a DAW. Elements has no standalone editor. Standard and Advanced include spectral editing, Mouth De-click and Batch Processor. Check the specific tool rather than assuming that every editor module also has a plug-in version.

A higher edition can change more than the module list. The Dialogue Isolate manual gives Advanced both Best / Offline quality and four-band processing in the module and plug-in. The higher-quality mode takes longer to process. Advanced also includes Scene Rebalance, Trim Silence and Ambience Match. Pay for those capabilities when they solve a repeated need; the edition name alone cannot guarantee a better result on every recording.

For folders of similar recordings, Batch Processor can apply a module chain to multiple files. That is an option, not a requirement for every folder. Test representative copies first: files with different faults may need different treatment. Compare the offer, not just the headline price

The buying guides below separate edition comparisons, current prices, RX 11 upgrades and alternatives. Public prices on the iZotope store, checked September 8, 2026, are a starting point. The loyalty programme describes offers based on products you own. Compare the offer for your exact licence with a new licence; do not assume someone else's upgrade price applies. Eligible students can check the student discount conditions before purchasing.

Perpetual licences remain available alongside iZotope subscriptions. The current Plus plan includes RX 12 Elements; Pro includes RX 12 Standard. These plans do not supply RX Advanced. They use Native Access and have a seven-day subscription trial. Once a cancelled subscription expires, its tools retain saved settings but become read-only; bounce affected tracks before expiry if you need durable audio renders.

Test the exact edition and host before committing. The RX 12 Standard download page describes a separate ten-day product trial with export disabled. Treat it as an audition, not a delivery licence. Does RX Elements include the standalone Audio Editor?

No. RX 12 Elements contains six DAW plug-ins. Standard and Advanced include the standalone Audio Editor.

Is Dialogue Isolate identical in Standard and Advanced?
